The goal is to accelerate the traditional, time-consuming design process using data-driven methods, thereby enabling the systematic evaluation of more concepts and their associated variants.
Atlantec Enterprise Solutions GmbH is responsible for the development of software routines for ship design and integrating them into an application known as the “toolbox.” To digitally capture the design requirements, the shipowner’s specifications - including details on, among other things, the ship’s transport mission and the technology to be installed - AES will, for the first time, apply data-driven methods of artificial intelligence (AI), in particular machine learning and deep learning.
